Life Drawing Night with Rachel Corry

Please join us for a figure drawing night in our studio, hosted by Rachel Corry. There will be a model, music and candlelight as the sun fades - please bring your own pens and paper, though some other supplies (and snacks!) will be provided.

Tarot is a twilight language, which utilizes numbers, the elements, symbols, linear and non-linear paths, archetypes, conscious and unconscious energies, hierarchical and holistic structures, and is multi-dimensional. At its essence, it is the language of paradox, atemporality, and inner wisdom.

Join Jennevre Jones of Prima Materia | Materia Prima in delving into a brief history and philosophy of the Tarot, and learn to understand the symbolism of the Major and Minor Arcana intuitively. In each workshop, we will practice interpreting the cards and apply what we have learned with practice readings. If you have a deck, feel free to bring it, but a personal deck is not required.

Major Arcana: Understanding the beauty of the complete human journey.

Workshop 2: November 21, 6:30-8:30pm / register here !
Minor Arcana: Work with elemental energies, interpreting the suits, numbers, colors, symbols, and court card archetypes.

By donation. Suggested: $70 for both classes, $35 each. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and it is not required to take both workshops, but they do connect all the dots.   

Astrology 101

Come learn the basics of astrology with local Portland based astrologer Emily Carsten. In this class she will cover the basic components of natal charts, as well as break down the famous big three! You will leave this class with a comprehensive understanding of the form and function of your Sun, Moon, and Rising placements, as well as an outline of the function of the natal chart as a whole. Come with your questions and curiosity! 

Those who pre-register will be asked to provide birth info. so that their birth charts can be generated ahed of time; for drop-ins, please come with a print-out of your birth chart, or have it available on your phone.
